17-year-old Austin Metcalf was stabbed at a high school track meet in Frisco, Texas by 17-year-old Karmelo Anthony. Metcalf is white and Anthony is black. The incident started over a seat on the bleachers. Anthony was sitting under a tent during the rain and was approached by Metcalf and asked to move. Anthony refused, immediately reaching into his bag and saying “touch me and see what happens.” Metcalf touched him once, Anthony warned him again. Metcalf then grabbed Anthony, at which point Anthony stabbed him once in the chest. This is all according to eye witnesses reported by local and notional media. This incident has sparked race debates on social media after being blown up by a handful of right-leaning bloggers.
