Conservative journalist and television pundit Hugh Hewitt quit his job at the Washington Post live and on-air. A video of Hewitt removing his earpiece and storming off camera has hit social media and gone viral. The program was hosted by Jonathan Capehart, who had previously gone viral himself when he cried while interviewing Michael Fanone on MSNBC. The discussion in question, during a “Washington Post Live” zoom-style livestream, steered in the direction of negative talk about Trump, per usual.
Capehart brought up a specific example of what he believes is Trump refusing to admit he lost the election. The example was centered around voting in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Hewitt stepped in to correct Capehart and the other participant on the call because that specific challenge from Republicans was successful and not frivolous. Capehart did not like the lecture and told Hewitt about it. This caused Hewitt to quit the show and storm off-set.
