Federal agents have arrested former New York Governor’s aide Linda Sun and her husband, alleging that they are both Chinese spies. This news comes on the heels of the feds raiding at least one of Sun’s properties. The husband and wife duo own homes in New York and Hawaii. Their most recent purchase was a very expensive Ferrari. The houses and at least one vehicle were allegedly purchased with money taken from fraudulent activities due to Linda’s role in government. She is being charged with alien smuggling, visa fraud, signature forgery, and money laundering.
This incident represents another piece of evidence of Chinese influence on the US Government. California House Rep Eric Swalwell (D) had a well-publicized run-in with a Chinese spy named “Fang Fang.” There is also the recent incident of at least two members of the US Military who were flagged as spies for the Chinese Communist Party.
