Planned Parenthood recently released a cringeworthy video in which the presenter labeled the idea of virginity as a myth. The unnamed woman said that virginity is a concept that was created for the purposes of shame and to control women. She then went on to talk about the different ways a person can have sex and how some of these things may not be “counted” when speaking about virginity. The video is clearly directed toward young people under 18 due to the schoolroom setting and simple language used throughout the three-minute-long video.
