A Southwest Airlines passenger allegedly opened the emergency hatch of the airplane and exited onto the wing. He then hopped and/or fell down from the wing to the tarmac where he was apprehended first by airport workers and then by police. The incident took place in New Orleans, Louisiana on a flight headed to Atlanta, Georgia. The plane was stationary at the gate and not moving at all. No charges have been filed against the unnamed man at this point, but the case is under investigation by federal authorities. Viral videos have flooded social media showing rattled passengers hurriedly deplaning. There is also a video of the suspect being apprehended on the tarmac.
