St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones has taken 64 trips in just under four years in office. This follows a pattern she developed as City Treasurer in which she took 50 trips. The total amount of time she spent away from St. Louis amounted to 12% of her time in office up to that point. She attempted to validate her travel by saying the trips were done to bring investment monies back to the city. However, upon further investigation, not much investment was brought back to St. Louis. Much of the grant money and other things she spoke of were there under prior administrations. Previous St. Louis Mayors averaged 4 trips a year, which is 4x less what Tishaura Jones is doing.
