Alternative media such as podcasters, bloggers, and social media influencers are now invited to participate in White House press briefings. This news was announced by the brand new White House Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt during her first day on the job. Leavitt replaces the heavily-maligned former Secretary Karine-Jean Pierre. The previous Secretary was famous for consistently referring to her identity as a black queer woman instead of giving direct and meaningful answers to questions. Leavitt was much the opposite and a breath of fresh air.
