A woman was arrested in Florida after threatening Blue Cross Blue Shield employees on the phone after a denied claim. The woman is accused of using the “deny, defend, depose” phrase that United Healthcare CEO shooter Luigi Mangione had allegedly written on shell casings found at the scene of the crime. She followed that up with “you guys are next.” This was an obvious threat of violence at a sensitive time, just after the United Healthcare case. She was given bail of $100,000, ordered to ankle monitor house arrest, and told to stay away from any employees of Blue Cross Blue Shield. Such threats in Florida could carry up to a 15 year prison sentence.
