The Supreme Court has voted in a 5-4 decision to allow Federal Agents to remove razor wire from a section of the Southern Border. Chief Justice John Roberts and Amy Coney Barrett joined the court’s three liberals in this decision. The Biden Administration sued the Government of Texas over their usage of concertina wire to prevent migrants from crossing into the country illegally. The argument against the wire was that it was an inhumane practice that also prevented Federal agents from being able to perform their tasks on the border. The decision temporarily takes away one of many tools that Texas is attempting to use to slow down the influx of migrants they get every day. The court battle between Texas and the federal government is highly contentious and probably won’t end soon.
