Deadspin has fired all staff after being acquired by a start-up firm. The leftist sports rag may not shut down at all, and if they do, it may be temporary. The plan is to retain the brand but take it differently. Among the fired staff is Carron J. Phillips, the journalist who defamed 9-year-old Holden Armenta. A quick peek at Phillips’s Twitter page shows that he has Deadspin listed as a former place of employment. The accusation against and subsequent lawsuit from Holden Armenta and his family may have been the straw that broke the camel’s back. However, Deadspin has been a sinking ship for many years now. No different than Jezebel, Gawker, Vice, and a plethora of other left-leaning rags pumping out inflammatory garbage.
