80-year-old actor Robert De Niro had his microphone cut off several times during a profanity-laced tirade on The View. This is not the first time the “Casino” and “Goodfellas” actor has done something like this. He has consistently criticized Trump since at least 2016, when he became the President. De Niro even threatened to punch the President a few years ago. He justified this threat on The View by saying he was defending someone else whom he felt Trump disrespected. During the profane parts of De Niro’s time on “The View,” the audience applauded and cheered, probably without prompting from the audience director. Leftist shows like “The View” have leaned into anti-Trump content as a core method of driving views and advertising dollars.
