Rapper Plies took to his social media platform, which has over one million followers, to defend Vice President Kamala Harris. His defense of Harris comes on the heels of music mogul Jermaine Dupri asking a valid question about the sincerity of her campaign promises. Popular black activist and speaker Umar Johnson revealed that he was offered $10,000 to interview Kamala Harris. Another influencer, a black woman, stated she was being compensated for pro-Kamala ads.
Plies decided to address anyone with questions or concerns about the President by labeling critics as somehow problematic. He brought up racism and sexism as his two main excuses as to why there should be no questioning of her at all, which is a ridiculous thing to say. Any candidate running for any office should be approachable and questioned. The constituency of that individual needs to know who and what they are voting for. To say anything to the contrary is, quite frankly, un-American.
