Facebook founder & CEO Mark Zuckerberg has admitted that the Federal Government has pressured the big tech platform to censor certain subject matter. In a letter to the House Judiciary Committee, Zuckerberg expressed regret for caving into pressure from the Government to censor COVID-19 posts, among other things. Zuckerberg also stated that the Government called to “warn” him about a potential Russian misinformation campaign just before the Hunter Biden laptop story broke. Zuckerberg admits the subsequent censoring of the laptop story was wrong because it was not a matter of Russian misinformation.
This revelation may be stunning to some but not to most people who have been paying attention to the bloat and overreach of the Federal Government. The “laptop from hell” was obviously not Russian misinformation, yet over 50 “intelligence officers” said that it was. COVID-19 policies were not so much draconian as they were asinine. Masking, the six-foot rule, and footprints on the floor of supermarkets were all unnecessary and silly. Even one of the worst public officials in government, Anthony Fauci, publicly stated that the six-foot rule was arbitrary and not supported by science. Zuckerberg’s admission will most certainly play a role in the upcoming election, as the general public does not view the current administration favorably.
