Bubba Copeland, an Alabama pastor and Mayor, took his own life after a brief police pursuit near his residence. Police were dispatched for a welfare check over concerns for Copeland’s well-being. They were not in pursuit to arrest him. The series of events that led up to this involves his “secret” life as a transgender online personality being exposed by “1819 News.” That particular news website is being blamed for this tragedy that has struck Phenix City and Smiths Station Alabama where Copeland was pastor and Mayor respectively.
Mainstream media says that 1819 News exposed Copeland’s personal life and that led to his untimely demise at age 62. However, Copeland did not do very much to try and conceal his identity. He was very active on Instagram and Reddit. Not only was he very active, but he also posted explicit and dangerous things about people in his own community, including children.
