Boston Mayor Refuses To Participate With ICE Amid Fears Of Mass Deportation

Boston Mayor Michelle Wu refuses to cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to carry out President Donald Trump’s proposed mass deportation plan. During an episode of “On The Record” with local media, Wu was asked a series of questions about the migrant crisis. Michelle Wu defended Boston’s sanctuary city status, stating that these people are integral to the economy and culture of the city. Her viewpoint is becoming less and less popular as the troubles brought by many of the migrants far outweigh any visible benefits. Incoming Border Czar Tom Holman says people like Wu simply need to get out of the way.

Boston may not be affected as much as Chicago and New York by migrants, but there is a problem. Migrants have been sleeping at Boston’s Logan Airport for months. They are out in the open in common areas where visitors and residents alike can see them. There is also an issue with a lack of affordable housing that an influx of migrants does not improve. If the migrants do not stay in Boston, they often to go another overpopulated sanctuary city such as Chicago and New York.
