Candace Owens and Amber Rose discussed various topics on a recent “Candace” show episode. One clip from the hour-plus-long interview is making its way around the internet. The two conservative women spoke about being black while being conservative at the same time. These two identities have a hard time co-existing… at least in the eyes of the general public. Many in the black community think that a conservative political outlook automatically makes a person anti-black or anti-something else. This couldn’t be much further from the truth, but it is still a belief held by many people who usually don’t know any better.
Amber Rose is well known in the hip-hop, urban space, and online, with 25 million Instagram followers. She makes the majority of her living in the entertainment world, which is wholly dominated by leftists. She recently posted a picture of herself with Donald and Melania Trump at Mar-A-Lago. That was her first step into conservative politics; the backlash was immediate. She followed that up with a photo of herself in full “MAGA” gear. Rose ultimately spoke at the Republican National Convention, which really set off a firestorm.
Amber Rose successfully angered a large number of leftists and some conservatives who feel like a “raunchy” person like Amber Rose should not be included in conservatism. The one key difference between the objections of the left and the right is that one “side” bases a large portion of their objection on her race while the other does not, and it’s relatively easy to see which side is which.
