A guest on CNN absolutely torched Kamala Harris’s stated goal of ending “price-gouging.” The practice of price-gouging refers to companies or individuals raising prices much higher than usual, especially during a time of crisis. Kamala’s plan advocates say such a practice is immoral and should be illegal. The problem is that the only way to stop price-gouging is to enact price limits. This should not be something that the government is involved in at all. The end result, as it was in the Soviet Union and Venezuela, will be food shortages. Placing caps on prices is an old Communist tactic that never works. Kamala’s unveiling of such a plan should be no surprise, considering that her vice presidential pick is Tim Walz. He is an out-in-the-open Socialist at best and a full-blown communist at worst.
