Dee Snider Of Twisted Sister Dropped From SF Pride Over “Transphobic” Tweet

Rock star and LGBTQ ally Dee Snider of the 80’s band Twisted Sister was dropped from San Francisco Pride after a tweet about trans youth. The 68-year-old rocker, a self-proclaimed lifelong supporter of the LGBTQ movement, retweeted a comment from Paul Stanley of KISS. In short, the comment warned against transitioning children who are not yet prepared to understand the ramifications of such actions. Dee Snider simply agreed with this notion upon retweeting. That action was enough to get Sinder removed from the pride event.

Snider was scheduled to perform his band’s iconic song “We’re Not Gonna Take It” which, according to SF Pride, represents their struggle against transphobia and other things. Snider, probably confused by the negative reaction, responded with a post on Facebook.

One important quote from Snider’s statement is the following: “So, my lifetime of supporting the Transgender community’s right to identify as they want and honoring whatever changes they may make in how they present themselves to the world isn’t enough?” The answer to his question is obviously “no.”

The LGBTQ movement in 2023 has become one of total intolerance. If a person disagrees with transitioning children, then they are seen as a heretic in the eyes of the extremely vocal minority, even if the overwhelming majority of people agree.
