Vice President Kamala Harris’s ancestry has become the topic of mainstream media conversation after President Donald Trump’s recent comments. During a live Q&A session at the National Association of Black Journalists event in Chicago, Trump answered a question concerning certain Republicans using the term “DEI hire” about Harris. Trump stated that he never knew her to be a black woman because she always identified as Indian until recently. This remark set off a firestorm of allegations of racism against President Trump. However, he is not incorrect. Judge Joe Brown confirmed what Trump and many others have said about Harris being Indian during a podcast interview. There are clips featuring Kamala herself discussing that she is at least half Indian.
