A person claiming to be an employee of the Federal Government called in to “The Breakfast Club” radio show to give her opinion on Elon Musk’s productivity email. This is a highly controversial email from Elon’s team asking Federal employees to list five things that they did at work over the past week. Failure to respond to the email within 48 hours would be seen as a resignation. Many employees took this email as an opportunity for Elon to harass and bully them.
The woman who called the Breakfast Club had a different point of view. The conversation on the nationally syndicated radio show began by the woman introducing herself as a Federal employee with the Department of Human Services, most likely the HHS. One of the show’s hosts, DJ Envy, asked the woman how she’s feeling and if she got one of Elon’s emails.
She responded that she did get the email and she feels good about it. She sees it as an opportunity to present what she brings to the Federal Government. The woman also said that if people present themselves and their accomplishments well, there could be room for a promotion. It was obvious that the hosts didn’t necessarily expect such a positive answer, as Charlamagne told DJ Envy that her answer is why it is important to talk to people actually experiencing what pundits often opine about.
