The Democratic House Rep from Minnesota, Ilhan Omar, insulted all Trump voters as stupid Americans. The controversial Muslim Rep made the comments on Mehdi Hassan’s YouTube channel called “Zeteo”. She was speaking about engaging in good faith conversations and/or debates with the “other side” when she began to talk about stupidity. Her argument is that it is impossible to speak to people who are dedicated to ignorance. The irony in her statement is that many could say the same thing about Democrats who have made bad decision after bad decision in this country.
The past four years under Biden was an undeniable mess rife with obvious errors. Omar’s comments are not much different than Hillary Clinton’s “basket of deplorables” comment, also about Trump supporters. Insulting 77 million people is not a good idea if the goal is to gain some of them in any upcoming election. The more insults, name-calling, and gaslighting that leftists and legacy media hurls toward the general public, the more the people who are being referenced will shy away from leftists and media.
