Droves of illegal aliens (or asylum seekers) are coming to Atlanta, Georgia according to Mayor Andre Dickens. In preparation for these new arrivals, the city has secured about $7 million. This is, of course, a drop in the bucket compared to the assistance other cities demand. New York City is requesting billions in aid after being inundated with over 110,000 migrants within the time span of a year or so. Mayors of major cities nationwide often have meetings and talk about the issues their respective cities face. Dickens does not want Atlanta to become like New York and Chicago, so this move is seen as preparing for the inevitable. Others see it as sort of an invitation. Once migrants realize that Atlanta is a migrant-friendly destination, they will be flooded with them like other big cities.
