Kamala Harris revealed an entirely new accent during a speech in Detroit, Michigan. The accent is wildly different from the one she used just hours before during a speech in Pittsburgh. It appears as if Kamala is trying to speak differently to specific ethnic groups. Many liberal commentators said this is an example of “code-switching,” where someone speaks differently depending on the circumstance. An example of code-switching would be the difference between how someone speaks around friends and at work. The problem is that the accent doesn’t sound natural to Kamala. She sounds like she is trying to relate to people by being a phony person. This is typical politician behavior which consistently turns voters off.
