Vice President Kamala Harris snapped at tv and radio host Charlamagne Da God on Comedy Central due to his question about Joe Biden. Charlamagne, real name Lenard McKelvey, interviewed the Vice President for what wound up being about 20 minutes to a half-hour. McKelvey did not hold back punches when it came to the type of questions nor did he compromise on the aggressive manner in which he asked them. A variety of topics were covered but one main issue crept up over and over again. And that is the question of Joe Manchin impeding the progress of the Democratic party.
Charlamagne Da God asked Kamala Harris if Joe Manchin is the President or if Joe Biden is the President. Certain clips online made it appear like Kamala Harris immediately answered the question, but that’s not the case. When McKelvey first asked the question, the famous Biden staffer Simone Sanders jumped into the picture. She attempted to end the interview early. Kamala just sort of sat there like a deer in the headlights. McKelvey wisely ignored the pleas of Sanders and continued to speak to Kamala, asking if she could hear him. This prompted Kamala to respond in the affirmative then continue to answer the question.
VP Harris gave an aggressive answer to the question of Manchin vs Biden. This tone was much different than the sort of pleasant tone she had throughout the interview, even on the other questions about Manchin interrupting the “process” in Washington. The attitude change is probably because she sensed hostility coming from Simone Sanders. The aggression in Sanders seemed genuine but not so much in Harris. This is part of the reason why she is widely disliked now as she was during the 2020 campaign cycle. She is unlikeable with a personality that is plain as boiled potatoes. This is probably why people like Charlamagne are so desperate to get Democrat bills passed through the Senate immediately. Because they know there won’t be another chance like this past 2022 and most certainly not past 2024.
