Philadelphia LGBT activist and journalist Josh Kruger was allegedly shot and killed in his home by Robert Davis. Kruger was 39 years old and Davis was 19 years old. The two knew each other and were described by law enforcement as “acquaintances.” Police also said that Kruger was trying to “help” Davis. Robert Davis’s family, however, paints a different picture.
According to Davis’s family, Josh Kruger met Robert when he was 15 and Kruger was 35. They say that Josh Kruger groomed an underaged Robert into a relationship based on sex and drugs. Things allegedly came to a head when Kruger threatened to expose inappropriate videos of Davis online if Davis did not perform certain acts. This may have caused Davis to snap and shoot Kruger in his home.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Robert Davis. Authorities say they have surveillance video of Davis near the scene at the time of the shooting. As of the writing of this article, Davis is still on the run and has not been arrested.
