41-year-old Shannon Brandt ran over 18-year-old Cayler Ellingson due to being a so-called “Republican extremist”. Brandt confessed to intentionally committing the act that claimed Ellingson’s life. The incident happened in North Dakota shortly after a street dance. Ellingson called his mother after being chased by Brandt into an alley. By the time his mother arrived on the scene, it was too late. Cayler was already gone.
Brandt was given a $50,000 bond on the charge of vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a crime. He ultimately made the bond and was released. This attack comes just days after President Biden gave a prime-time speech in which he spent the entire time attacking “MAGA Republican extremists”.
