Pastor Jamal Bryant took time out of his Atlanta, Georgia church sermon to attack black Conservatives after their trip to the White House. Quite a few black Americans attended a Black History Month event inside the White House with Donald Trump speaking at the end. Many of them went live and/or took pictures and videos with their phones. One person had a cardboard cutout of Jamal Bryant’s face and many people mocked it in a joking fashion due to his prior comments about black conservatives.
Bryant saw the video and dedicated time to address it. He used foul language including racial slurs against black people, while saying that he supports the black community. He parroted mainstream media talking points from predominantly white and LGBT commentators as ammunition against black conservatives.
Much of the political “facts” he rattled off were false and/or misleading, per usual. His sermon is yet another example of why many black Americans are shying away from the church. There is too much willful ignorance and pandering to certain groups within the black community without any real growth or development. It is a dead end for the members but a cash cow for the pastor.
