President Trump Responds After Being Sentenced In The NYC Hush Money Case

President Trump has finally been sentenced after being convicted in the New York City “hush money” case involving Stormy Daniels. Trump has been given a sentence of unconditional discharge, which means there will be no actual punishment. No prison time, no fines, nothing. This is the most obvious outcome of the case, as it satisfies two needs of the people who initiated the case.

The first issue that this sentence satisfies is the obvious inability to incarcerate a sitting President. The second issue is that the mainstream media and Trump’s political opponents can say that he is a convicted felon without being challenged. If Trump was not sentenced then he would not be considered “convicted” although the ruling from court said that he is. The most important issue here is that this case couldn’t have truly resulted with incarceration due to the lack of an actual crime.

The things Trump was accused of doing are basic, legal things that others have done without a problem. All of the cases against Trump were simply “lawfare” in an attempt to keep him out of the White House. If anything, all of these cases backfired and helped to propel the President back into the White House.
