San Francisco has hired the “fat-positive” Virgie Tovar to consult on “weight stigma” and “weight neutrality.” Tovar, the author of “You Have The Right To Remain Fat”, is an advocate for severely overweight people. Instead of teaching these people proper diet and exercise habits, she gives them a variety of excuses. San Francisco taxpayers are now on the hook for this woman financially so she can help with health advice. Her hiring appears to be yet another example of wasteful Government spending, which has become the norm in a far-left controlled place like California.
