The Kamala Harris CNN Town Hall, hosted by Anderson Cooper, was an unmitigated disaster. Audience members asked the Vice President questions; her answers left much to be desired. CNN contributors noticed that Kamala Harris dives into “word salad” when she doesn’t truly have an answer to a question. She responds to questions without answering them. Such a thing is frustrating for undecided voters who cannot get the information they need to determine whether she is worthy of their vote.
The CNN Town Hall follows Kamala’s taking a day off from the campaign trail just 14 days before the General Election. Her day off also came during the middle of record-setting early voting turnout in many states nationwide. The time off was obviously taken to prepare for the Town Hall. There were clearly specific talking points that she was coached on sticking to. Although she could recite some things she was told to say, she does not have good communication skills to speak to potential voters in person.
