President Donald Trump was held in contempt of court after he was found to have violated the gag order set in the Stormy Daniels “hush money case.” Judge Juan Merchan says Trump violated the gag order on at least nine occasions. Two occurred on his website, and the other seven occurred on Truth Social. The post in which Trump referred to Stormy Daniels and Michael Cohen as “sleazebags” was ruled out as a violation, despite all of the attention and press that it received. Trump was fined a grand total of $9,000, a petty amount by any stretch of the imagination for a case with such profound implications. The judge warned Trump that further violating the gag order could end with his incarceration.
