Trump Nominates Pete Hegseth As Defense Secretary

President Donald Trump has nominated Fox News anchor Pete Hegseth as his Secretary of Defense. This job is currently held by 71-year-old Lloyd Austin who was recently treated for prostate cancer at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. This nomination from Trump is just one of many to come in the future that may come as a surprise or shock to those on the outside looking in. MSNBC host Joy Reid laughed at the nomination on air, referring to Hegseth strictly as a television person. Hegseth is a decorated military veteran who was deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan. He is also an extremely intelligent person with an ivy league education.
