A Zoom fundraiser for Vice President Kamala Harris entitled “White Dudes for Harris” raised over $4 million. Actors Jeff Bridges, Mark Hammill, and politician Pete Buttigieg were among those in attendance. The event drew an estimated 200,000 people to the meeting itself. This comes from other identity groups raising funds for the presumptive Democratic Presidential nominee. All other fundraisers were carried out similarly: through a Zoom call. The dollar amount these events bring in isn’t astronomically high. However, the purpose may be to highlight the big names endorsing Kamala Harris for President so the general public is influenced.
