Election results have been pouring in from across the country and the outcomes have been disappointing to many conservative Republicans. Kentucky incumbent Governor Andy Beshear (Democrat) defeated Republican challenger Daniel Cameron, the state’s current Attorney General. Virginia Republicans failed to gain control of the state legislature after Democrats gained ground. Ohioans successfully amended their state’s constitution to enshrine rights to abortion access. The results in Ohio most likely reflect the general attitude of the entire country and may explain the disappointing results in other states.
