Former President Donald Trump officially announced another run for President in 2024 from Mar-A-Lago in Florida. This announcement comes on the heels of another announcement last Monday, just before the midterm elections. Rumor has it that he was going to announce his run last week. He instead punted that announcement in order to not distract from the midterms. However, the rumors and the “punt” simply delayed the obviously inevitable. Combining the previous announcement with the preemptive attacks on Ron DeSantis and Glenn Youngkin, this announcement came as no surprise at all.
