Parents of one of the three Kansas City Chiefs fans found frozen in a backyard have spoken out. David Harrington’s family says they have no closure after the release of a toxicology report found high levels of fentanyl as well as cocaine and THC in their son’s system. All three friends, 37-year-old David Harrington, 38-year-old Ricky Johnson, and 36-year-old Clayton McGeeney, had the drugs in their bloodstream. Harrington’s mother says that if he took the drugs voluntarily, he did so to get high but not to die.
On January 6th, buddies in Kansas City gathered for an event at one of their friend’s homes. The party ended with three of them deceased and frozen outside of the home, with another one inside and allegedly asleep for 48 hours. When Clayton McGeeney’s fiance became concerned about his whereabouts after a while, she immediately went to the home. She furiously banged on the door and got no response. She eventually broke into the house through a basement window and found three frozen bodies, including that of her finance, in the backyard. She called the police, and when they arrived, the party’s host answered the door with no problem, holding an empty wine glass.
The host of the event, a watch party for the final regular season Kansas City Chiefs game, is a man named Jordan Willis. The deceased men and Willis were friends who met at a local high school. During high school, Willis was known as “the chemist” and works as an HIV vaccine scientist. Willis has published 55 medical papers and has a PhD from Vanderbilt University in Tennessee. Local police initially said there was no foul play involved with the death of the three men; they now say there is an open investigation. Jordan Willis is reportedly cooperating with police.
