AOC is threatening to draft articles of impeachment against members of the Supreme Court of the United States over its decision on Trump’s immunity. SCOTUS rendered a 6-3 ruling that states former Presidents are immune from prosecution of “official acts” done while President. There is not, however, immunity granted to “unofficial” acts. Lower courts and lawyers will be left to squabble over what is defined as “official” or “unofficial” acts. The SCOTUS decision will impact the Jack Smith case against Trump involving January 6th election interference. The case will probably be pushed back past the November election, which will defeat the obvious purpose of the lawfare effort against Trump: to get him convicted and incarcerated before the election.
