A Maryland Senator Ben Cardin staffer recorded himself and another man in a Senate Hearing Room engaging in an inappropriate act. The video was first posted to a private group chat for Capitol Hill staffers. Someone apparently took it from that chat and uploaded it to social media. It is pretty much everywhere as of the writing of this article and it is very graphic. The video shows the two men engaging in an explicit act in a Senate Hearing Room with all of the lights on and all chairs and microphones in place.
Aidan Maese-Czeropski has been identified as the Ben Cardin staffer in the video. He denies any wrongdoing, allegeding that people who are bringing his name up are trying to score political favor. However, lmost immediately after the video went viral, the staffer was released from his job. Ben Cardin’s office did not offer additional comment about the firing, only saying it was a “personnel matter.” Such an activity in a public space may be considered a criminal action, but there has been no word from Capitol Police on any pending investigation.
