Biden Says Black Entrepreneurs Don’t Have Accountants Or Lawyers

During a 100th Anniversary commemoration for the Tulsa Race Riots of 1921, Joe Biden spoke about the plight of black entrepreneurs. Biden said that black entrepreneurs are just as capable of succeeding as white entrepreneurs are if given the chance. Then he said that blacks don’t have lawyers or accountants. In context, maybe Biden said the previous statement to explain why there is an achievement gap between blacks and whites in business. Nevertheless, Biden’s statement came off as ignorant, rude, and racist.

Joe Biden is no stranger to racially insensitive “gaffes”. In fact, the President is a well-known gaffe-prone person. During his “campaign” cycle (conducted mostly from his basement in Wilmington, Delaware) he gave “The Breakfast Club” host Charlamagne Da God one of the worst gaffes ever. Charlamagne, also known as Lenard McKelvey, asked Biden about his specific plans for the black community. Biden responded with something along the lines of “if you can’t figure out whether you want to vote for me or Trump, then you ain’t black!” Earlier in the campaign cycle, Biden told an audience that “poor kids are just as smart as white kids.”
