CDC Director Rochelle Walensky appeared on several Sunday news shows to give an update on the virus. During one of these interviews, she stated that 75% of people who died from the virus also had at least four comorbidities. These “comorbidities” may include things like obesity and hypertension. Walensky went on to say that these people were “unwell to begin with”. The “controversial” CDC director was specifically speaking about a study of 1.2 million people which is quite a large number to glean from. Although Walensky is the CDC director and an infectious disease expert, she has received a ton of criticism for her recent and previous comments.
