CNN Mistakenly “Frees” A Notorious Criminal From Bashar Al-Assad Regime In Syria

CNN journalist Clarissa Ward helped to free a notorious prisoner from the Bashar Al-Assad regime in Syria. According to recent reports, this was a mistake. CNN was in Syria (with local guards) visiting old, abandoned jails after the ousting of Assad. They just happen upon one singular cell with a lock on it. The guard shoots the lock off and they enter. Upon entering, they notice some blankets on the floor with an obviously human silhouette. Under the sheets they discover a man wearing a brown coat and blue jeans.

The main in the cell said his name was Adel Ghurbal and he was a civilian. He said he was locked away for no good reason for the past three months and forgotten about. In reality, he was not a civilian, but a notorious member of the Bashar Al-Assad regime. He was known for torturing people who refused to pay him bribes. This factoid was discovered by the non-partisan fact-checking group called “Verify-Sy”. CNN has released another article admitting that they may have been duped by the man, who’s real name is Salama Mohammad Salama.
