Columbia has canceled their main graduation ceremony in an apparent surrender to campus protesters. There will still be other, smaller ceremonies for the 19 colleges under the Columbia umbrella. However, the “big” celebration will not happen. Some have suggested a “festive” event on campus instead of the main commencement. All of this has occurred as a result of protesters essentially taking the campus hostage. And the irony of it all is that the “protests” have largely been inorganic and funded by liberal groups that also support President Joe Biden.
