Khalid Kamau, the mayor of South Fulton, Georgia (Atlanta metro) was recently held at gunpoint and later arrested. The controversial Democratic Socialist has been charged with criminal trespass and burglary. A lakefront home in the area is what Kamau describes as his “dream house” so he decided to take a closer look. This “closer look” involved the Mayor venturing onto private property and entering the home. The property owner arrived and confronted Kamau after calling the police. Kamau allegedly hurled profanities at the homeowner during the confrontation as if he was in the right for trespassing. The homeowner had a gun on his hip that was visible to the Mayor. Police eventually arrive and take the Mayor into custody where he was hit with the aforementioned charges of trespass and burglary.
