Former President Donald Trump made a big announcement at a campaign rally for JD Vance In Dayton, Ohio. However, this announcement is not quite what the media alluded to. The rumor was that Trump would announce his run for President in 2024 at the rally. This would have been a highly controversial move to make considering the midterm elections happen on the very next day. Trump did not make such a drastic move. He did, however, allude to the fact that he is going to run for President again in 2024.
The “big announcement” in Dayton was that there would be another big announcement on Tuesday, November 15th at Mar-A-Lago in Florida. Anyone could piece two and two together to figure out that Trump is going to run again. The media cannot actually say that he did announce a run, which takes some pressure off of Republican candidates attempting to win their respective seats. His “smaller” big announcement also does not create the mountain of distraction that a “larger” announcement would.
