The 15-year-old’s birth name of “Zion” was officially changed to “Zaya” to reflect his new-found gender identity. Wade’s ex-wife, Siohvaughn Funches-Wade, put up a fight against the name change. Court documents reveal that Siohvaughn accused her ex-husband of attempting to profit off of her son becoming a girl.
