Elon Musk Announces That He Has Purchased Twitter For $44 Billion

Elon Musk announced that he has finally purchased Twitter for the asking price of $44 billion. This comes after weeks of court battles over the price due to Twitter allegedly not releasing certain information. Elon Musk had concerns about how many “bot” accounts and spam are present on Twitter. Some said Elon was simply trying to get out of the deal because he got in over his head. Or, he was simply trying to get the price down. The other side alleged that Elon Musk essentially pumped and dumped Twitter’s stock price which damaged them. Court proceedings were happening and then, all of a sudden, Elon decided to go the other direction.

This news did not go over well with many Twitter employees. When the potential deal was first rumored back in early 2020, many employees stated they would leave immediately if it happened. Much of Twitter’s staff is very far-left-leaning politically. Elon Musk is the type of person who can get along with Joe Rogan, Kanye West, and Donald Trump. These guys are sworn enemies of the left in the eyes of the left. This makes Elon Musk the enemy as well. Furthermore, Musk has recently announced that he would cut 75% of Twitter’s workforce. This has created panic among many employees on the platform. Elon Musk has stated that he purchased the platform to save humanity and bring some balance back to the platform.
