Family Dollar is set to close 1,000 stores over the next year or so due to inflation, theft, and various other factors. 1,000 locations account for 10% of Family Dollar’s total retail footprint. Dollar Tree, Family Dollar’s parent company, will close 30 stores in the same time frame for the same reasons. This news comes at the same time the Biden administration has been bragging about the excellent state of the US economy.
