Georgia Judge Makes Decision About Fulton County Fani Willis In Trump Case

Judge Scott McAfee has reached a decision about Fani Willis and the Donald Trump election interference case. Trump’s lawyers alleged an improper relationship between Willis and special prosecutor Nathan Wade. The argument was that this relationship created a financial windfall from Willis, which incentivized the case against Trump to be prolonged. If this allegation, among other things, had been proven in court, then Fani Willis and the Fulton County District Attorney’s office may have been removed from the case. Scott McAfee did not rule in the way that Trump’s team may have anticipated, but the ruling changed how the case will go forward.

Fani Willis was given two choices by Scott McAfee. She can either voluntarily remove herself and the entire Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, including Nathan Wade, or remove Nathan Wade himself. Nothing will happen to Fani Willis… at least not at the hands of Judge Scott McAfee. However, McAfee did state that Fani’s behavior in and out of court rose to the level of being potentially legally improper. McAfee also stated that the voters of Fulton County, Georgia’s legal bar, and others may determine her fate.
