Ex-Biden White House staffer Taral Patel has been arrested for staging a race hoax against himself and his family. The former White House liaison is currently running for a County Commissioner seat in Texas as a Democrat. Patel allegedly used a “burner” account on social media to post a string of racist comments about himself. He presented these comments as evidence that his follower’s supporters were hurling racial insults against him. Patel showed these rants in a collage that he posted. He also went into a lengthy rant about the hateful comments referencing his Indian heritage on Facebook. Patel’s opponent, the incumbent Andy Meyers, initiated the investigation after he recognized one of the names in the collage, Antonio Scalywag, as someone who had previously harassed him online.
