Hunter Biden has sued the IRS over the disclosure of his tax information. His legal team says that the IRS whistleblowers who testified before Congress violated his rights by revealing that he owed over $2 million in tax debt. Lawyers representing the whistleblowers obviously cite the legal protection afforded to whistleblowers. Hunter’s legal team says that the pair of IRS agents who testified revealed information that fell beyond the scope of whistleblower protection.
All of this comes off as a desperate attempt from Hunter Biden and his team to prolong his pending trial and also the current investigation into him. This was supposed to be all neatly wrapped up with the sweetheart plea deal crafted by US District Attorney from Delaware, David Weiss. US Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed David Weiss as Special Counsel in the Hunter Biden case after the plea deal fell through, which should be an obvious conflict of interest. Weiss elected to prosecute Hunter only after the plea deal that he crafted fell through due to an uncooperative judge who saw obvious flaws in what was presented to her.
